ROOM 01 — THE ARTIST
The Vision Behind the House
Tom Kirk is a self-taught industrial artist and metalworker who transformed 1905 Garling Drive from an ordinary home into a living gallery. His vision is that guests shouldn't just sleep somewhere; they should feel surrounded by handcrafted sculpture, mosaic, and metalwork at every turn, in a home built as an evolving art installation rather than a static rental. Each room reflects years of hands-on fabrication, welding, and design, with pieces that can't be found anywhere else.
Art should be lived in, not just viewed.
ROOM 02 — THE COLLECTION
A House Built From Original Art
Every room in the house contains one-of-a-kind, handmade work by Tom Kirk. Sculptures, metal fixtures, mosaics, and architectural installations are integrated directly into the living space, not added as decor.
Industrial Sculptures. Large-scale welded steel sculptures are positioned throughout the common areas and grounds, each a unique standalone piece.
Mosaics. Intricate tile and glass mosaic work covers walls, floors, and surfaces, adding color and texture to unexpected corners of the home.
Custom Metalwork. Hand-forged railings, light fixtures, and furniture accents are fabricated on-site, blending function with fine art.
Architectural Installations. Built-in creative features are integrated into the structure itself, turning hallways, nooks, and stairwells into gallery moments.
